Bank Slope Mowers

Bank mowers are specifically designed to mow banks which are too steep for conventional mowers to tackle safely. With a low centre of gravity and superior taction bank mowers are ideal for taking on such challenging terrain. These slope mowers are invaluable for maintaining banks and ditches, with the ability to handle inclines in excess of degrees and have revolutionised grounds care in such conditions.

Battery Electric Machinery

A Battery mulching mower will help you to maintain your lawn in a simple, convenient and environmentally-friendly way. Rather than collecting the grass clippings, battery mulching mowers shred them into a fine mulch which is deposited onto the lawn, returning nutrients to the soil and retaining water for a healthier, greener, less labour intensive, more environmentally sustainable lawn. Because they are battery powered, they also produce no carbon emissions at point of use, for cleaner air and a lower carbon footprint.

Battery Powered Mulching Mowers

A battery-powered cordless mulching mower delivers a number of benefits. Because it is not tethered to a power supply by a cord, a battery powered mower gives you freedom of movement, but because it is electrically powered, it needs no petrol and so produces no carbon emissions as you use it, helping to minimise your carbon footprint. The mulch that they produce helps return nitrogen and other nutrients to the soil for a healthier lawn and by eliminating the need to dispose of the grass cuttings mulching lawn mowers both reduce your waste and save you the job of disposing of them.

Lawn Scarifiers

Lawn scarifiers are effectively highly efficient mechanised rakes. A lawn scarifier is used to remove moss, dead grass and other organic debris, collectively known as “thatch” from the base of a lawn and prevent soil compaction. This promotes lawn growth by allowing nutrients, water, light and oxygen to get to the soil which aids root development and so enhances lawn growth.

Walk Behind Flail Mowers

A walk behind flail mower, sometimes referred to as a “pedestrian flail mower” is an incredibly efficient and versatile machine. Designed to mow rough and overgrown areas of vegetation, it utilises a flail cutter head which both cuts and mulches vegetation. Walk behind flail mowers are ideal for path maintenance and landscaping in areas that are hard for vehicles to access..

Two Wheel Implement Tractors

As two wheeled tactors have become more and more popular, a number of manufacturers have introduced them into the market. These range in size, horsepower and complexity from inexpensive simple machines to large complex two wheeled tractors with sophisticated systems to ease operation and deal with the most demanding of conditions such as extreme steep slopes or uneven ground.

Flail Mowers

Flail mowers work by using rapidly rotating arms, or “flails” rather than blades to cut and mulch vegetation. Initially using fixed flails, flail mower design has developed over the years to incorporate hydraulic systems which allow for variable cutting heights and increasingly robust materials that have made the modern flail mower incredibly versatile and tough.

Mulching Lawn Mowers

Mulching mowers work by turning grass clippings into fine shreddings which are left behind as a mulch rather than being collected. This mulch will break down over time, returning nutrients to the soil, promoting healthy grass without the need for chemical fertilisers. Mulching also helps to retain moisture in the soil making it more drought resistant.

Remote Control Mowers

Remote control lawn mowers are self-propelled mowers that can be operated from a distance. Remote control mowers work in exactly the same way as a conventional mower but because the operator can be some distance away they can be smaller, safer and more capable on slopes and other difficult areas of terrain. Not so very long ago remote control mowers were considered little more than fun toys but they have advanced considerably in power and capability. Today they are changing the way that grounds care and landscaping is done.

About Colne

Colne () is a market town and civil parish in the Borough of Pendle in Lancashire, England. The town is 3 miles (5 km) northeast of Nelson, 6 miles (10 km) northeast of Burnley and 25 mi (40 km) east of Preston. The town should not be confused with the unrelated Colne Valley around the River Colne near Huddersfield in West Yorkshire. Colne is close to the southern entrance to the Aire Gap, the lowest crossing of the Pennine watershed. The M65 terminates west of the town and from here two main roads take traffic onwards towards the Yorkshire towns of Skipton (A56) and Keighley (A6068).
